Got a very crappy brake problem , how do I fix ?
This has got to be one of the most annoying issues iv'e encountered yet . My rear brakes wont completly disengage. I can drive my car just fine other than the fact that my rear wheels arent free . Its caused me to loose my last two races , its killing my gas millage, and I simply cant stand that slight tug holding me back . Dose anyone know the cause and or the repair process thanks lots .
i had a similar problem on my drivers side rear caliper.I have mine painted red and after a week i noticed that the painted turned really dark red/black and was flaking off.Turns out my caliper was siezing up.
Thanks for your help I will try and see if that works. I figured it might have had something to do with air in the brake lines, so I bled it and to no avail.

I may have the same problem, but it's really hard for me to tell. When I let off the gas my speed decreases really fast. I also see drastically different wear on all of my brake pads. BTW I only get like 20-22 mpg on a pretty good mix of hwy and city driving.
I found the problem . Some how my pads wore unevenly . Whenever I used the brake, it pushed the low end of the pad to the roter . As I release the brake pressure completly the high end of the pad still touched the roter resulting in this problem. It was a big pain in the *** , i'm glad I figured it out. Now after all this time I can finaly see how fast my car realy is. lol
hmm, my brake problem is kinda weird. I have to push the brakes hard to slow down.. or come to a stop. Also as i am pressing the brakes to slow down, if it is raining, or when i go over bumps or holes, my brake pedal jerks weirdly. Anyone know the problem with my brakes by my desciption?
does anyone know how to push the caliper piston all the way in ? Im tring to change my pads but I cant get the damn piston all the way in for clearence .

i have the same problem- when i let off the gas, my car feels like its being held back, and not a steady deceleration (sp?). Any ideas?
