I have a 89 civic sedan with a D15B carb.... I want to convert to fuel injection but i need to kno if the tank out of a F.I. hatch or crx can fit up to my car without any modification?

The tanks are NOT the same!

The filler neck is on the rear of the sedan tank and in the front for the hatch.
I out a sedan tank in my Civic hatch beater and had to do some creative fabrication to get it to work. If I didn't get this nearly new tank for next to nothing, I wouldn't have used it.

That is incorrect.

Hatch and CRX tanks are the same. The sedan tank is different.

As Ihatedomestic said, the filler necks are positioned differently.

 

DAMN... Guess i jus goin have to find a sedan tank or get the coversion done to the crx tank.... The only conversion was to the filler neck right? Everything else bolted up correctly?


U think changing a 1.5 carb to a sohc zc vtec is worth it? I plan on goin boost after the conversion.

 

wen i bought mine they said it was a sedan tank...must have told me wrong or something..sorry for the misinformation

 

why do you have to change your gas tank to convert to fuel injection?
