I have replaced my fuel sending unit but my car always runs out of gas when the gauge is at 1/4 of a tank. i have replaced the gauge cluster three time and it does it on all of them.

I am also have problem with a cooling fan not coming on at all, I had to hard wire the fan in to make the car drive able.

 

I think you have a short on the wire that goes from your cluster to the sending unit

If the fan doesnt come on, your fan switch is messed up, the fan relay or one of the fuses is blown.
