Default Cross drill rotor install

Really quick question. I bought some cross drilled rotors today. I heard there's a specific way to mount it. Let's say I'm mounting it on the passenger side. Do I use the rotor that is pointing towards front or pointing back? Thanks!

You should go buy some Brembo blanks. The car will brake better, look better, and you wont have to worry about which way your cute little cross drilled pattern goes.

I believe that you would mount them with the part of the slot that is closest to the hub going foreward first. If this makes any since to you. Thats the best way i can explain it. Its how i did mine.

I just got drilled. On mine, it doesn't say if its Left or right..... Ummmmmm hmmm.....

Anyways rotors are rotors. Some are better. Some of those Brembo Blanks warp too. And brembo do sell those as you call it "cute little cross drilled pattern..."

K FROM NOW ON, NOTHING NOT A WORD about the rotors. I just want to know where to mount it.

K NVM I think I got it. IDK if it's correct. I know DIY Network did a big brake job and they had slotted rotors. They said the top end slots are suppose to point toward back of car.

if they are cross drilled or slotted, the rotation should be counter to the wheel like this \ ...if you mount them on the wrong side, they will look like this / ...they will over heat and warp if they are mounted the wrong way.

different manufacturer recomend different direction for the drill/slots. the side its suppose to be on has more to do with the veins in the rotor rather then the cross-dilled holes them selves, see if you can find out what direction the veins are and make them face like this <forward "\" back].

and btw, brembo doesnt approve their cross-drilled rotors for track use. but they do approve their slotted rotor. heh heh, maybe that says a little something about cross-drilled?

if the rotor is vented inside, look at wich way the veins are going. They should point in the direction I posted above. If you dont know what I mean by vented, its the veins between the 2 faces of the rotor.
