Why I wouldn't deal with Valleysyder
Hi HT,
I will preface this by saying:
1. I will only tell you what happened
2. The dates used are approximate.
3. This will be very long. Grab some popcorn.
1/19/07: I make a deal with Valleysyder to buy a 97 Civic for $3800 with the Konig wheels or $3500 with steelies. I decide to go with the Konig wheels since he said he’d have to get some steelies since he didn’t have any. (http://www.hondamarketplace.com/zerothread?id=1864063) We also agree he will deliver my car to CT from his place in RI. All this was done through AIM.
1/20/07: I receive my car just as he said. It’s about 9:30 pm. I look over the car quickly. Everything looks good. I give him $3800 cash.
1/21/07: The next day I come out and the rear tires were both flat. I replace all 4 wheels with some steelies my friend had. Upon closer inspection one rear wheel had a big chip on the lip with a crack on the inside and the other was bent and had a crack on the inside. I to call Valleysyder but I didn’t save his number so I waited until he came on AIM. When he did, I contacted him, he responded but I didn’t have time to tell him the situation because I got an important phone call and he signed off before I finished the call.
Between 1/21/07-2/7/07, I waited for him to come on AIM, but he never does. I send out emails to two of his email addresses explaining the damaged wheels with pictures. No reply.
2/8/07: I decide to add his AIM sn to another one of my AIM accounts. Viola, he’s there. I came to the conclusion that he blocked me. I say, “hi” using my other sn. He has an away message with a phone number. I call the number, he picks up. I explain the situation and asked why he blocked me. He says he didn’t and AIM must have screwed up when he upgraded to the new AIM. He says he’s very busy and he has to go, I say, “I will call you back”.
Later that night he replies back through AIM. “Who is this?” I tell him who I am and we talk for a while. I said I want $450 through Paypal: $300 because that’s the difference between the price of the car with Konigs and without the Konigs, $100 to buy new wheels and $50 to split the difference on shipping/paypal to ship the Konigs back. He says no because he says he has no money. Instead, he says he’ll give me some mint GSR flower wheels and $50 and I keep the Konigs. I say fine. We make a deal to meet up next week.
2/10/07-2/25/07: I call so we can set up a meeting time. No answer. I call and call and call and then call some more. No answer. I check on AIM. He doesn’t come on anymore. I find his real phone number that I found on a thread on HT. I call him and he picks up. He blames me for not calling him and setting up a time. I say I call him all the time. He says he very busy. He says we’ll meet up next week. I tell him I’ll drive to his place to pick it up so it’ll make things easier.
2/28/07-3/26/07: I call and call and call again. Doesn’t pick up. He doesn’t come on AIM either. I decide to add his AIM sn on another one of my AIM accounts. Viola, he’s there. I message him. Now I know he’s trying to avoid me. He gives me more excuses and tells me it’s my fault for not calling him and he’s a busy man. (In my opinion, someone that has time to check his Myspace everyday doesn’t qualify as being busy.) He says, “next week”.
3/26/07-4/2/07: I call him to set something up. Communication improves he picks up once in a while and even returns my calls sometimes. I say I will pick the wheels/cash up tomorrow 4/3/07. He says, “fine, call me after 3”
4/3/07: I start my 2.5 hr drive to RI. I decide to go to the Clinton outlets with my gf while I’m at it. At 3:30pm I call him. And this is how the call went:
Me: Hi Don. It’s me Tim.
Don: Tim. Hello. Hello. Hello. Hello.
Me: Hi can you hear me.
Don: hello. Hello hello hello. CLICK.
In the next hour, I call him about 30 times and they all go directly to his voicemail. I decide to continue onwards to RI. At about 5pm I get to RI and he finally picks up and tells me he’s was at a meeting that ended at 3:30. Also that he went through a tunnel which is why he didn’t have service. Also that he’s in Boston. I’m thinking WTF. Of course he blames me again. Saying I should have called. I say I will wait. He says he’ll be there in 2.5 hrs. Two and a half hours pass and I call, he says he’s still in Boston and that traffic isn’t moving. I say fine. I’m still here. Then I call about 10 times and he doesn’t pick up. At around 9:20 he picks up when I use my gf’s phone to call. He says he’s still driving and doesn’t want to meet up anymore. He says he’s tired. I say I will drive to your house and he still says no. And of course blames me some more. He says to come back tomorrow. I’m not gonna come back the next day or any other day to get stood up again. So I say to send me $350 via paypal since the wheels are worth $300 + the $50 he owes me anyways. He says, “Fine. call me tonight when I get home and I’ll paypal you the money.” I call him about 10 times and no one picks up.
4/4/07: I AIM him. He blocks me. That’s 4 blocked sn’s. I call him numerous times and he doesn’t pick up.
4/7/07: I AIM him using a different sn.
Me: Hi
no answer
Me: ITR block
Don: Oh yea sorry, that’s sold blah blah blah
Me: It’s me, can you paypal me $350 now?
Don: why did you did you say ITR block. Are you implying that I’m trying to avoid you. Why don’t you just call me. Just for that, I’m keeping the $350.
Signs off/blocks me.
I call him again many times. No answer. I AIM him using different SNs, no answer then blocks me.
That’s it for now. I still want my wheels or tires. I didn’t want to post this on a forum, but this is my last resort to get my money and/or tires.

Yea, I know Donny has a lot of friends on here. I want to hear his side. I want to hear his explaination. No excuses. Why 4 (FOUR) of my AIM screen names don't work? Why out of about 150 phone calls only about 10 are answered? Why when I offered to drive to his house to pick up the wheels, he said no? especially when I was already in RI already. Why doesn't he just paypal me the money and get this over with?

. u decide to come down without no notice on your behalf.. i didnt get home till 10pm that night. yes i dont want no stranger coming over my house or my brothers house at that time of the night . now was it my fault that u came down with no whereabout of where im at or when imma be home..

First off, you didn't not say to call before you leave. You said call me after 3. You also told me you are free after 3pm. If you were gonna be in Boston that day, you shouldn't have agreed to meet me that day. It takes me 2.5 hrs to get there. I can't just shoot up there in a seconds notice just b/c you told me so.

Here's my AIM buddy list. I have 2 of my AIM accounts linked together. One Valleysyder is signed off and the other, he's clearly visable. If that's not a blocked, I don't know what is.

Your personal problems are not mine. I used a screen name that I had lying around. I DID NOT use a chicks sn. It's mine. It's not my fault that your girl was on your account and it's not my fault that she thought I was a chick.

well this post will stop me from doing business with him unless he corrects the problem somehow.... sorry valleysyder but just because you dont think 350 bucks is as important as he does doesnt mean you shouldnt pay him
pay him, take your wheels back, do something and make the situation correct, very easy meet half way 1.5 hour drive each and be done with it and save your name, this thread will kill any chance of you selling anything if you dont correct it

ha ha are you serious, your going to let 350 ruin any type of reputation you may have, i see in your other posts your trying to buy cars and keep selling them on here, im sure $200 would solve this problem and make it so this guy doesnt jump in every thread of yours that you have anything for sale in

350 is nothing to me .. its the moral of him puttin words in my mouth and tryin to tarnish my rep on hondatech .. im sorrie with that being done .. imma let others make there judgement base on how they want.. and how they precieve me to be ...so if this post helps others in the wrong/right way .. then its already been done and said..
