Compustar Alarm doesn't Work
Hello,
Well today I noticed my Compu Star 2 Way alarm does not work. Usually when I take the keys out of the ignition the car will stay running untill i shut the door, now that does not happen. Also the car does not automatically lock lock anymore, lock when I try to lock it from the remote, or the remote pager on the windsheild does not light up.
So I am guessing it is no getting any power to the system in the car. Now I do not know where to start as the system seems pretty complicated as there are tons of wires. Any help, and anyone know what fuses the systems runs through?
Thanks.

You'd be much better off trying the audio/security forum. I don't know why you'd ask in here.
If you had the alarm installed professionally, you should have a lifetime warranty. Your best bet is to go back to that shop because if you mess with the alarm yourself, you'll void the warranty.
If you're feeling brave, see if you can find the constant 12v and ground wires. The constant will have a fuse in it that you'll need to check. The ground will simply need to be screwed into the sheet metal of your car. If those two things are fine, you'll have to follow the constant wire to where it's connected. If it's connected to the ignition harness, then you'll have to look elsewhere to try and diagnose the alarm. If it's connected to some other circuit in the car (very unusual), you'll have to check that circuit's fuse.
The wire colors for the constant and ground can be found in your installation manual or at compustar's website or at the12volt.com

Yeah I should of just posted in there, I will see if a mod can move it.
It was installed by an professionally by an authorized compustar dealer, however it was by the previous owner and the shop is over 4 hours away.
Thanks for the help, and I will see if I can get the thread moved.
* SO if a mod sees this before I can talk to one, can you please move this to the audio/security forum. Thanks.
