If you're looking for a quality header you should go w/ DTR/SSR. Heres the link http://www.sixsigmaracing.com

A DC Sports header is not a "race header".

I personally use the SMS 1 piece and havne't the first complaint. Great ground clearence, awesome craftsmanship and seems to make great power. FWIW with I/H/E and tuning, I'm at 192 WHP

ill be dyno'ing a jdm itr header vs profab next friday'

profab isnt the best header in the market but im hoping for a good amount of bang for the buck considering there only around $450 shipped brand new'

last dyno on the itr header was making 190/130, hoping the profab and a bit more tuning will put me over 200', motor was getting choked at the higher rpm range

ill have to just take a picture of the charts..i dont have a scanner'

it wont be 100% accurate test because im usuing a different dyno to tune the profab than i did for the itr header..thus the numbers will be off a bit

im removing the itr header tomarrow and throwing on the profab, then tuning friday...but it will still give me/us a general idea of the difference in power between the headers'

im also going to do 2-3 pulls on the j's cf intake and then swap on an aem cai and have that tuned/pulled 2-3 times and see what kind of numbers the difference in intakes yield'

as mentioned it wont be 100% solid because the dyno's are different from before "jdm header", and now "profab header", but it will still give a general idea....last time it was tuned on the jdm itr header it made 190/130 and was being choked at higher rpms by the header, ive been told the dyno that ill be usuing friday yields slightly lower numbers than the one used in the past...but a base-run before any tuning etc should give me a good idea', without tuning the new header the #'s should be about the same for the first base-line pull, give or take a little for dyno differences and/or maybe a little better flow while un-tuned on the new header'

Only because I got questioned on this....

Mugen intake, SMSP 1 piece header and race exhaust. Only other things worth mentioning are the Mugen HG and Hondata IM gasket.

header and exhaust manifold are interchangeable terms for the same thing

I dissagree. A header or headers is what my dad's generation called them and the parts that were used on V8's.

Look in any relatively newer car shop manual and I bet you $20.00 that the terminology used is 'exhaust manifold'.

Why does this chap my hide? I'm not sure. I do know that the terminology used on old V8's should not be used on newer imports as the cars and technology are completely different from one-another. Calling it a header is incorrect.

go to dictionary.com and type in header and tell me what it says when referenced to automobiles

Just like wing and spoiler. The terminology is the same, but a wing provides lift whereas a spoiler is adjustable depending on need.

Header and exhaust manifolds are the same thing though, no difference in them. I will agree that V8's and V6's use headers, but if you look on most "new" sites when purchasing this part, it will be defined as a header.

since when did wings on cars provide lift? the term wing and spoiler are interchangable, but technically a wing is something that uses a upside down airfoil like that on planes to create downforce. and a spoiler simply attacks the air at a angle to create downforce. atleast thats what i read and was told. .
