Will a 96-98 ek hood fit onto a 99-2000
doenst matter what body style...the answer is NO
in order to use ANY of the other sub-generation you need to use ALL of them
Hood
Bumper
Headlights
Fenders
and mess with the radiator support
96-98 coupe, hatch, sedan = same
99-00 coupe, hatch, sedan = same

We were able to install a 00 Si front end complete onto my friends 00 4 door sedan with no fitment issues.

I've been hear and done this. I had a 97 coupe and converted the front end to a 99-00. I bought headlights(99-00),Fenders(99-00),Bumper(99-00),But I didn't have a hood.(finally got one
). <U>Anyways I had to use my 97 hood for awhile. It will shut and latch, but there is quite of a gap by the headlights and the 99-00 grill will not fit untill you get a hood[/I]. you can use your 97 grill until you get the new hood but it looks like some pieced together doo-doo. I would just leave out the grill until you got the 99-00 hood.

only if you want it to look like crap

ok lemme get this... the question was if a hood from a 96-98 will fit a 99-00 simply put, NO... you can do the whole front end conversion (hood, fenders, bumper, lights, grill) but just switching the hood? NO it wont fit right.
umh... if everything else is different. igor says the hood is different too
also when i read the other posts i spotted some incorrect info. the radiator support dos not need to be altered for a 99-00 front bumper to fit. simply bend downward the two mounting tabs on either side of the hood latch to allow clearance this mod takes nearly 2 seconds and youll get a much cleaner even install
