Default Gauge pod idea!!!

I recently installed an oil pressure gauge into the g/f's car an found that there really isn't any where to mount it without a gauge pod. After seeing my buddy's STI I saw that there is an after market gauge pod that mounts in the center of the dash. I am wondering if anyone has ever made a gauge pod for an EG that will eliminate the center top vent in the dash. It seems that the center vent isn't all that user friendly anyway. Any-who, here is a pick of the pod I am talking about. If anyone has made anything like this can you show me and if not WHY hasn't someone? Thanks

1. Dont post every 5 mins, its 10 on the west and 1am on the east. People are sleep.
2. The pods in the center vents has been done. Take a piece of ABS plastic and hot glue it there or rivet it in and drill a hole for your gauge and your set.

That's a very ignorant statement btw.

Kits are made to mount them in the vents, I'm sure kits are made to mount them in the dash. I'm also sure there are kits to mount them where to factory radio goes. I've seen them.

It's 11 here in Arizona, most people are asleep. it's midnight in Texas where more people are asleep. And it's 1 a.m. in Georgia, where the majoirty of people are asleep or out partying because it's friday night. Good luck on getting many quick responses on a query that's actually an atypical curiosity.

EDIT: Oh, and I have $5 that says if it will mount on the top of the dash in an STI, it will mount on the dash of a civic.

you cant anywhere unless it is a unmodified complete carb leagal kit.......those go for over what a civic is worth, my friend actually got told that his stock sti guages were a driving hazard/object in the ay, so he had to cover em up with one og his moms filipino flags while he was getting his imperezra sti reffed

i made one for my car to replace the vent. i got a vent from the salvage yard, cut out the center of it and fiberglassed it to hold 2 gauges that are angled toward me. pretty easy to do. with the oem vent ring on the bottom it snaps back into the dash really tight so its secure.

Default

remove vents (aka pull on them)
cut out a piece of cardboard to fit the hole.
transfer the outline to a piece of wood
drill as many holes as you want to make it fit
carpet/paint in your choice of color
run wires
hook up guage
place guage in holder

done

or

repeat steps 1-3
have fun with fiberglass/bondo

done
