don't see why not.

Japanese emissions laws are way stricter than anything stateside. If no CEL, he should pass without a hitch. However, I'm in FL and don't know how emissions work

we ain't got that stuff in cracka country!

No it will not pass because it plugs into the ecu and the machines cannot read the JDM ecu. Get yourself a USDM ecu and if you don't throw any CEL with that, then your set to go. Chances are though you'll throw a code (I forget what it is) but it's for not having a CKF sensor (basically a knock sensor). So to fix that: http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm Then you should pass no problem.

if they don't plug you in you should be fine because i have a OBD1 jdm gsr computer on a gsr and i have a knock sensor and i have a intake, tb, intake mani, dc 4-1 and passed the two idle with no problem and i live in CALIFORNIA the king of smog strictness

If its a OBD1 ior obd0 it will pass, but 96+ obd2a and obd2b will not because they hook up OBD tester and it will not read.

I was at the smog shop yesterday and same thing happened to my friend.
"Mr. vash" on here. It will not connect to the smog system. But when we hooked up a DX ecu it connected but later on threw a cel light. Gotta get this figured out.

well we took the car to emission and did not pass because of the ecu. so we put a 00 civic si ecu and it passed. we just had to run the secondary o2 sensor to the ecu.
