Skunk2 Throttle Body
Is it worth it with a Skunk2 Intake Manifold? TB 60mm. IM 62mm. ?
What other TB would be direct bolt-on (no modification) if Skunk2 isn't the best?
This is for a D15B7. Thanks.

Don't use Skunk2 throttle bodies. I know several people that used them and what happened was that one of the screws from the throttle plate came loose and was sucked into the motor. They were eventually reimbursted by Skunk2, but still not worth the hassle of rebuilding the motor.

Have you never heard of a defective product? Things happen.
Just because a tire blows out on you... do you ban that tire forever!
Skunk2, BDL, JG, STR, RPM Services, and the many others all use screws and this can happen to any of them... and probably has. It's gonna happen more to the companies that sell the most throttle bodies... it's statistics.

I've have yet to experience that with a S2 Throttle body. But I have watched it happen with a Holly unit.
The TRUTH here is that "Bolt on items" do just that; bolt on. It is your responsibility to decide which of those items will produce the best benefit to loss ratio when used with the rest of the components in your SYSTEM. It is also up to you (or your installer) to make sure each part you choose is up to the tasks that your SYSTEM requires from them.
With that said, why the hell would you choose a throttle body as big as the (240hp@9000rpm) S2000 for an engine 3/4 its size that will spin 3/4 the rpm and probably make less than 3/4 it's power? Time to re-evaluate your SYSTEM.

</TD></TR></TABLE>1. Seriously who wants to put a defective product on their motors? 2. Firestone - People spend thousands of dollars on their motors why risk putting a "defective" product on your motor? 3. Then don't buy one.

That's just ignorant. One or two or three bad products... make all the parts defective? If you cannot understand the analogy I gave, then I give up. You win. I'm sure you never make mistakes... your parents gave birth to the only perfect person in the world.
