Default timing belt..........wtf

im finishing up my ls vtec build. installed the cams(bc4) and torqued everything down. now when i put the timing belt on and rotate the motor after a couple rotations the belt slips and puts the cams out of time...any ideas what is going on here?

Cams with stiffer springs aand larger primaries are usually tough to turn over. The belt has to be pretty firm. Also could be binding in the head.
