Default Relays above Fuse Box

How in the world do you get those relays (ie. atts fail-safe) out? There's like a little plastic cover you have to lift up and then pull the relay out, for which you need to hands. There def isn't even close to enough space to do that maneuver. Any suggestions?

Those were hard for me to get off even after I took out the whole fuse panel from the car.

Take out the plastic trim, metal support, and air duct under your drivers dash. Take your drivers seat out. Lay down and take a look at what and where these are placed. I was just under there myself today working on my Clutch safety switch problem. I noticed that it wasn't very hard to get to the upper relays once everything was out from underneath. I can get both of my hands under there so it shouln't be hard.

I'll take another look tomm, but it seemed to me the clutch pedal assembly was what was really getting in the way.

I got mine w/o taking out the seat. what is did i took the foot rest out then took the bolt that holds the fuse box and pully out some connectors of those harnesses. After that, fuse box slid off and you should be able to insert you hand in there. I took me a lot of energy to pull that relay. but yea, yo have to take that white clip they are not that hard to pull.

the only thing about that picture though is that it says 99 has a relay for door lock and i have SH i wonder if that picture is for base cuz mine does not have one and door locks work ok. Anybody knows?

Thanks for the tip. Is yours a 99? I have a 98 SH so I'm not sure what the deal is with 99 models.

As far as the cover on top of the relay goes, do you just lift it up and pull the relay out?

yes just pull it off but would take a lot of power from your fingers. just kind of pull and shake little bit. yea mine is SH and the reason I got to that area is bcuz i don't have frekin radio and cigar and till now Im still troubleshooting it. My relays are good as well as fuses. I dont know what is next.

Check number 46. I had the same problem as your are now when I first got my car. Replace it even if it looks good. This is the under-hood fuse box:
