Default Hello/Opinions?

Hello all. I've been browsing through these forums for about a week now, and decided that it's time to introduce myself and say hello. My name is Matt, I'm 19, and i drive a 94 cd7.
Anyway, I'm looking to lower my car. Not sure really where to begin, but I've heard a lot of good news about h&r sport springs. I'd prefer not getting new shocks just yet, and from what i have read, it's not necessary right away. From reading all of the different posts im not sure what to believe. What i'm asking is: are h&r sport springs a good choice for a moderate drop, to get rid of the gap between the top of the tire and the wheel well? If not, what are some other good suggestions? Also, what would be the best springs for me if i'm looking to keep my stock shocks for a while?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Matt

Yea... you dont need to struts... unless you want your car bouncing around and smashing on the ground..

Get new Struts, its a WASTE of time to take it all apart and putting new springs on stock struts... your gonna have problems...

Struts wont cost you that much, get somthing like KYB agxs or tokico blues..

Read the basic guide, at the top of the Accord section. It has all the information.

I would recommend. For the stiffer spring rate the springs will give you, your stock shocks cant exactly handle it perfectly. If you leave stock springs it won't be a great ride anymore, very bouncy. Id suggest tokico blues for a cheap shock that will handle those springs really nice. And yes I have heard those springs are nice. I would suggest tein s-tech's as well since that's what i am lowered on..

Good luck man. I know where you are though, Im 19 too.

I have a 95 accord, and also wanted to get it lowered.

I've just bought myself some tokico illuminas and tein S-techs. I hear they are a good combo... about to install and see for myself

Thanks a lot for the advice

Will the h&r springs and tokico shock combination provide an aggressive drop? I dont want anything extreme, but i'd really like to get rid of the huge gap between the top of my tire, and the wheel well.

Also, i just read that tokico blues wont fit on a vtec (which is what i have). Is this true?
