my buddys car was running fine, then one day out the blue it stalls at a red light...we go to start it and nothing.....it was trying to hit but nothing. We towed it back to his house where i checked the ignition, all cylinders are firing, the fuel pump still works, we changed the fuel filter........went to start it a day later and it starts up but when u give it gas it wants to spit and sputter.....let it idle for about ten minutes gave it some gas and it revs fine for a couple minutes then goes back to spit'n and sputur'n..........................i think its bad gas from where it sat for a couple months.......................think im right or do u think its sumthin else....?

maybe water. put some in a cup and see if it seperates

 

It would definately be a start, remove the gas from the tank and find out, or if the tank is not really full fill it up all the way and drive it.
