Default GSR CAI no longer fits with Skunk2 Intake Manifold?

Went from the stock GSR manifold to a Skunk2 and now I'm being told that my CAI no longer fits, and that it is hitting something... I'm over an hour away from the shop so I can't see what's going on....

They suggested I get a CAI for an ITR, but I really don't have the money for a new one at moment...

Does the throttle body on the S2 manifold sit higher or lower than the GSR??

Any idea if I can just cut the pipe somewhere in the middle & put a coupler in to give me some flex??

Also, if my current CAI can't be made to work, then which would I need?

'98 Civic 2 door with GSR swap and Skunk2 manifold...

Will a CAI for a ITR fit??

ITR cai. Personally i would bother with a cai. Just get a short-ram,Velocity stack and filter for that.

True, the cheap solutoin is to take the already purchased CAI for the GSR intake mani, and chop it down to a short ram and put the filter back on the end.

But yes, the GSR's dual intake runner manifold places the throttle body in a different location.

Your GSR CAI will still fit w/ the skunk2 manifold with some mods. I've done it before.

Can you provide a few more details on the mods necessary? Is it as simple as putting a coupler in the middle somewhere??

might have to figure that out on ur own by looking at it, might just have to heat it up a lil bit and bend it to fit your TB!
