36 sqft. of Dynamat enough for a CRX?
I don't understand these threads - grab a tape measure and do the math - no better way to get an answer. whatever number you come up with, add 15% for overlap and losses.
btw, don't go with dynamat - http://www.raammat.com

You don't understand that people are generally lazy and usually don't want to do their own research?
You've been a member for almost 6 years and you haven't figured that out yet?

what variables are there exactly? The size of the car probably isn't changing anytime soon - so I'd say you are working with a static scenario.
I mean, just think about it:
doors - inner and outer skins - at least one layer each - one door is about 3 x 2 feet - that's 24 sq feet just in the doors
floor - let's call it 6 x 4 - another 24 sq feet
roof - 4 x 4 - 16 sq feet
entire rear paneling - probably another 30 sq feet
I don't even know your car and it's not that hard to guestimate that you are going to need a lot of mat to do the entire car. Most products come in rolls that are about 60 sq feet - 60 def won't be enough.
I'd order 2 rolls of rammmat bxt - they are 65ish sq feet each - that should give you plenty of mat - sheesh

Why is everyone ******* on this guy? THere are TONS of variables in this. i always get mixed up and confused with Height X Width = Area. .....
All joking aside, you need to get up and measure for yourself what you need for your car. Besides, it is a matter of opinion what "doing the roof, floor...." means. Do you want 2 layers of sound deadener? Do you just want to cover parts of the roof and not the whole thing? You are the only one who can decide that.
When you want an accurate idea of how much YOU need, you are the only one who can get the most accurate by measuring where YOU want to put the sound deadening.
We can't help you if you cant help urself

Exactly what I was thinking...But personally I love lazy people, because it gives us that aren't lazy and easier time getting ahead of everyone else in life

well i guess i'll back up Rob on this one and say the only thing we can really help with would be the dimensions of the car which he could easily have figured out by measuring. since he didn't specify the extent to which he was going to deaden the car, theres not much else we can help with.

id say just let him figure it out himself; hes the only one that will how how much he wants to deaden the material on his car. and personally i dont help out others that wont help themselves.
