the b16 head is a bit more free flowing than a b18c1.

it's different from an lsvtec because lsvtec's have a non vtec block.

b16 head w/ b18c1 block is like the "poormans ITR" motor.

That's a common misconception.

Really?

Please show me flow charts.

The B16 head is a better flowing head than the GSR.

This is why the B16 and the B18C5 is the same casting head wise.

Yes, really.

As I stated, it's a misconception.

I don't know of any charts comparing all three, but I'd expect the C5 to flow a bit better due to the minor work it receives from the factory, and the improved valves.

I remember seeing those flow charts posted I thought there was a c5 flow chart.

But yes as stated the heads flow in the follow order, keep in mind the margin is marginal. b16<b18c<b18c5. I'm not sure of the b20 though. I would guess it would be before the b16 though.

Let me know if you're able to dig that up. I'd be interested in seeing the results.

I think it's rather difficult to state that either the B16 or the C1 outflows the other solely by examining the Alaniz figures. In fact, if you calculate the average figures for both curves, they're virtually identical.
