Can I put driving/fog lamps in the bumper/air dam of my 98 Civic HX?
It's got the stock bumper/air dam. Is there a stock driving lamp kit available? I'd like to keep it as stock looking as possible.
Yea they are square fogs that go on the outer edges of your grill in the bumper and the 99-00 has the two recessd areas on the outer edges of the bumpers. Just go to either go to Ebay or passwordJDM and look for 96-98 Ek foglights.
The USDM ones for the '96-'98 are round and the overseas ones are square. Most aftermarket ones are square too.
The USDM ones are much cheaper than the overseas ones, but most of the ones you find for sale are going to be aftermarket squares.

What does EK stand for?
Also, all the lights I've seen on eBay or passwordJDM are YELLOW fog lights. I'm really looking more for a WHITE driving light which I can turn on all the time not just during bad weather. I also think the yellow might be distracting to other drivers, so white might be more preferable to me.

People use the term "EK" to designate all '96-'00 Civics. In reality it's part of a chassis code for a lot of overseas '96-'00 sedans and hatchbacks. Check the link in my sig for chassis codes for more information.

Congrats... looks like you just found another place to order Esuse kits.
Search the site more and you'll see I've talked a lot (and a few people have too) about Esuse kits being less prone to issues like the DEPO kits have.

Are fog lights the same as 'driving lights'. Driving lights appear to give more visibility in the distance. Do fog lights do the same?

They're not the same. Driving lights are a long thin beam de3signed to project into the distance and foglights are a wide flat beam designed to go under the fog.
