Default brake fluid ??

so im not soo sure how to change brake fluid not too great with cars and motors do u have to drain it ?? or just add more ?? i know i need dot 3

well, if you were changing it, you'd have to drain it.
If you are just needing more, you can just add it.

what exactly are you trying to do? like, why do you need to put more in?

went to get my oil changed and they said i was low on brake fluid

if your low on brake fluid, that means either there is a leak in the system, or you need to check your pads out...

yep, ^^ is correct.
If your pads are starting to get close to needing to be replaced, you'll need to add brake fluid.
So check them out. If they still look pretty new, you may have a leak in the system.

when is the last time you changed your pads?

i jusr replaced them and the place i got them changed at just said i was low on brake fluid the car has never had it changed since i had it for 12 k miles so im just guessing i need to add some

If your not real sure about why the brake fluid is low and aren't very mechanical, I would take it into honda/acura and have them take a look at it. I really wouldn't screw around with something as important as brakes if you don't understand the problem.

brake fluid does not evaporate like coolant/water. you are low on fluid for one of 2 reasons.

you have a leak. or your brake pads are low/worn.

have your complete braking system checked out.

i just replaced my brakes 2 weeks ago they were pretty bad back ones ere grinding metal and fronts got new rotors and pads

Add brake fluid to the resevoir up to the max line, and keep an eye on the level for awhile to insure that you aren't loosing any.
