Default can't free up front lca's from balljoint stud!

i have both front lca's dangling from the balljont studs. so there are no bolts on the lca's. i tried pounding it with a rubber mallet, and tried prying it with a prybar, i found out that i need what is called a puller, but dont own one. so, does anyone know an affective way to free up the lca from balljoint stud? without using a puller ofcourse.
