Sidemarker question....
Just put in Type-R style headlight housings. While everything was apart I figured I'd go ahead and replace the turn signal bulbs while I was in there. The old ones were starting to look pretty rough. I got some 1157 bulbs to put in there. They work fine, but when I turn on my headlights are they supposed to be on? Cause they are.
Is this normal? I just needed to ask some people with Civics like myself, because I'm rather new to them, and I don't remember if the sidemarkers stayed on when I had my old ones in or not.
Thanks for the help guys!

Yes, when your headlights are on, both the corner bulbs AND the headlight bulbs are supposed to be on. Or when you just turn our parking lights on (turn switch once), they're supposed to be on as well but without headlights.
It doesn't matter if the sidemarkers are on when your headlights are on; it's all in how you wire them. Personally, I have my sidemarkers only to be on when the turn signal is on. It all comes down to personal preference.
See you, I was actually going to post something like that. At first, he mentioned the corner bulbs on the headlight. But then he called them sidemarker.
Does he mean sidemarker like what's on the fender? Or what's on the headlight....

lol. I'm lost too. If he's referring to the turn signal light, that's called a parking light. And yes, the OEM way will have it on when the headlights are on.

Thanks guys for clearing this up!
