Default J30 timing belt

Just wondering, if the timing belt were to break in a 7th gen V6 engine, what would happen? Is this an interference engine?

a lot could happen, or nothing could happen at all, there are a number of variables that come into play. the only way to tell for sure would be do check the engine out while its being torn down to change the belt.

All -

I ran across a couple of Accord threads that suggested that (unusually) one Honda V6 was "not" an interference design; that being the J30a1 ...i.e. 2000 3.0L

Any truth to that wonderful/cruel-if-hoax googlage?

Thx!
