Default learning about turbo

i barely know anything about boosting a honda...ive searched but alls i read is about people doing it not what it is what you need and how it works

can anyone lead me to a couple sites where i can learn about what a turbo does exactly ...how it works ...what is needed..etc?

i know it forces more air into the pistons but thats about it.

thanks.

i already read that i just dont understand

the route the air goes through for the turbo to work

and how the intercooler works.

i know the exhaust pushes air into the turbo which spins the turbine then compresses the air and puts it in the pistons but i dont know when the intercooler comes in..and an blow off valve, etc.

and if theres still an air filter any more because its hooked up to the turbo?

The intercooler grabs the hot air from the engine and basically recirculates it back in as cooler air. It lows the temperature of the hot air and cools it down.. Denser air = better for your car. The BOV (AKA blow off valve) relieves excess pressure like when you shift gears you'll hear the BOV go "pshhh". You will have to get custom piping and then run a K&N filter or whatever because the intercooler piping is in the way of putting in a regular short ram or cold air intake..

One end of the turbo is free to put in the piping and the filter (at the end)...
