capacitor questions??
do capacitors make your battery voltage last longer soo i can bump my music longer with my car off?? and how much longer with a 1 farad cap?? cause when i bump my music with my car off for about 15 minutes, my car wont start anymore and would have to jump it...is this normal?? i got a 4 channel amp and a mono amp pushin a 12" type r...how long does your guys last without a cap?? also, is the charge card only to charge it the first time you use it?? or do i have to keep charging it when its dead??
No, caps do not increase battery reserves.
Depending on how old your battery is, and depending on how many amps your system draws, yes, 15 minutes could be normal.
No, you don't need to use the "charging card" after the initial charge.

ok looks like ima return the cap then cause i dont have any problems with dimming or nothing...is there something like a battery voltage gauge where i can run to the front of my radio to monitor my battery soo i kno when its to the limit where my car wont start?? haha
Yes there is, volt meter.
If you want to be able to crank the system with the car not running, why not add a second batt. and an isolator, that way if you run the system till it kills the batt. it will only be the 2nd batt. that dies, and you still have power to start the car, when the car is running the second batt. is connected to the alt. so it will charge, and you also have the advantage of both batt., [for the sound system].

how do i connect to batteries?? do i just run it in parrallel with the first battery??and would i just leave the 2nd battery in the trunk??

Yes you can wire them in parallel, it would give you longer "play time", however you would then kill both batt.
You need to isolate the batt. from each other with the use of a batt. isolator or a batt. integrator, I recommend the batt. integrator, [solenoid].

so the isolator or integrator makes only one battery power the system or car at a time?? right?? and can the 2nd battery act as a cap to fill in big base??
i've done a couple 2/3/4 battery installs in the roadshop. we never used an isolator tho.. maybe cause we had high powered systems with high powered alternators. if u have neither... i wouldn't suggest a 2nd battery. btw.... the cars that we added batteries to were cars that competed in S.P.L.

With an integrator, [solenoid] when the car is not running the batt. are isolated from each other and running the audio system, [without car running] will kill only the 2nd batt. and leaving the lights on will kill pnly the car batt., however when the car is running the batt. are connected, [parallel] and the audio system gains the advantage of both batt. but maintains the advantages of isolation when the car is running.
An isolator isolates, an integrator integrates, use an integrator, [solenoid].
The integrator, [solenoid] is often called an isolator, if anything, it could be called a "temporary isolator" or ign. controlled isolator
