Are you talking about the grommet?

All it does is just pop back in. I lost mine in the engine bay somewhere though because I dropped it.

na its not that. im talking about the one black groumet / thingie by the DRIVER side where its near the Clutch and brake fluid resovoirs, the groumet where ALL the wires go through.. i cant POP it back in, it wont go in.. maybe i should cut more leeway to pop it in? or is there a special spray to lub it in?

holy **** did you actualy say "turbo fumes once im goin turbo"??? roflmao

yes it is called a GROMMET and you put the amp wire THROUGH it and not AROUND it right? this shouldnt be rocket science (or even turbo fume science) the grommet keeps out water (not fumes) so what you do is put the wires through it and then put the grommet in the fire wall you shouldnt have to cut it if you have the wire through it. or dont take the grommet out to begin with and just push the amp wire through it while its in its normal position.

just use a razor blade cut a little more lube what ever your sticking in. sounds weird, but thats what will work. and check the where its coming out, wires inside the car cant get the stuff caught and stuck.

yes Turbo fumes, u dont gotta get all technical man, u know the dumptube gases and how the engine smells like gas and ***** everytime u hit boost. i dont think u guys know exactly what im talkin about.. the Rubber oval socket thats about 1/2 a foot tall by brake fluid resovoir and clutch resovoir, its not plugging up , u cant "push it in" .

well we Took out the groumet so we could push in the 4 gauge wire through, and now im having trouble puttin this groumet back into its place.. it WONT go back in.. guess ill try vaseline and a razor blade to cut more in the middle so the wires arnt pushing out the edges to make it bigger then it actually so it will fit cause nobody really helpin out here

There is no such thing as "turbo fumes". If you have an external wastegate, then that is exhaust. A properly installed turbo would blow the exhaust underneath the car. If you're smelling gas, chances are you haven't tuned your engine. If you're smelling ****... well I can't help you there.

Turbos are just air pumps. There's a fan in your exhaust, and a fan in your intake. The exhaust gas pushes your intake air. There is no reason to believe that the turbo burns fuel and creates fumes...

I run amp power cables through grommets all day long and have never had the problem you're having. Good luck.

yeah, they know what grommet you are talking about.

It's supposed to just pop back on... you sure its not caught on anything or being blocked? Is it really hard, or does it feel like soft rubber. rubber is hardened by the elements over a long period of time, so it may make it slightly more difficult to put back in.

Try angling it, putting one part in, holding that part, then working around the oval hitting it with the back end of a screwdriver.

all in all, its really not THAT important.

hey i have an idea about 200 years ago this company named kodak started makin these things they now call cameras why dont you find one of these nifty little invention and point it at your problem area and push the button on top and then show us the pretty picture it made, since you think we dont understand what your talking about! say cheese

also have you tried to take out the amp wire and put it back in with out it just to see if it goes in? and then if it does push the wire in while its still installed

i still cant over "turbo fumes" lol

Having same problem here...I also tried everything to get that damn thing back in...thinking of just gluing it against the firewall...yeah, I think that grommet helps keep unwanted heat out of the cabin.
