When i start my car sometimes, it start .. and the rpm dropped to 0 and died.
i try to step on the gas pedal to keep it from dying... but its not working.
but if i let the car sit for like another 5 mins.. and i try again. it start..

my friend told me.. i need to change the fuel filter .. or its that thing.. that connect to my spark plugs.. the cap that right next to my engine. (sry forgot what that thing called)

please help.

 

so what should i do.

 

your friend must be pointing towards the distributor, if so .. he must be implying the ignitor is failing. not sure if an ignitor has been known to be intermittent like that though. taking a wild guess i would look towards your main relay having a flaky contact. i think it is in the driver's side kickpanel. i'll let someone else chime in though.

my maintance light flashes when i start my engine !

 

Same thing happened to me and it was the distrubitor..

 

same happened with my DA, replaced the distributor coil and rotor and cap. but it still doesnt wanna start

 

I KINDA GOT DA SAME PROB..EXCEPT DAT IT STARTS BUT I HACE 2 HOLD DA GAS PEDAL DOWN..ANY1??

What does "DA", "HACE" and "DAT" mean? I have never seen those before.

check the timming belt, happen when i was missing a tooth or two

 

Sounds like the distributor.

I don't think he is yelling..

DA= The, HACE= Typo for Have, and DAT= That.

Timing, fuel filter, fuel pump. fuel pump relay. any of these can cause it.

 

is there any way i can find out what is the problems ?
