Default AEM V2 Intake or AEM Standard Cold Air Intake?

I have a 1993 JDM Honda Prelude VTEC and was wondering if a V2 Intake by AEM is better or the other standard AEM Cold Air Intake. And does the air box really have to be removed for AEM Intakes?

just save your money and buy an ebay short ram and slap a k&n on it. you'll make the same amount of power but save a ton of money. All you're paying for with AEM is the name.

i'd use the CAI (long pipe) and put on a K&N 4" inlet diameter canister type filter, make a 4" to 3" adapter (very easy) , remove your air box/ diaphram, etc and voila. best not induced intake your thin wallet can buy. 120 bucks for 5-10 horses. by cutting about 2 inches off your cai at the end on a bit of an angle where it would be parallel with your front of car. It has best of both worlds and provides pretty good power at all rpm ranges.

And brackets, dependable quality, all the required hardware.....

If you're not a DIY'er the ebay route is going to be frustrating...

Maybe 2-3, maybe. My V2 just makes a lot more noise...not 10 horses.

sri? a short ram air is like a cold air intake pipe but cut in half roughly. the filter is much closer to the throtle body, which quickens how fast the air can get into your intake. it generates more low end torque and horsepower
