im having problems finding out whats wrong with my 98 honda accord ex v-6.it acts like its in back up mode from a bad ecm(computer) we have changed ecm,plugs,map sensor,distributor cap, rotor button and it still isnt fixed the air fuel mixture is messed up somewhere. cause when it finally cranks it spits and sputters bad and all you can smell is rich gas also its blowin black smoke out the tail pipes that smells like burnt fuel can you help in any way? thanks

 

Have you checked your header and exhaust pipe? Could be an exhaust leak?

 

we had a new catolatic converter put on about 3 weeks before this all happened, but yea he checked all of the exaust

no cel is not on it was on until we changed ecm but now its not
