Default Changing the fuel lines (not a parts question)

I'm wondering if anyone here has a write up or can walk me through a safe/sane way to change the fuel lines. They leak when I start the car, so it's pretty much a must do thing. I think I'm looking for something SS as I live in upstate New York and this type of thing is quite common on cars here (not that the CRX isn't prone to rust anyway!).

As a side note, I'm saving up to swap a B16a into the rex this summer, so as a counterpoint to the SS lines, I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on fuel lines/system stuff twice that setup won't work well with the new engine setup.

I've hacked and slashed my way through this job before (repairing/replacing ruptured lines) on a nissan sentra, and it was an absolute nightmare, which lead me to conclude that I was doing it all wrong but then again maybe it's just a nasty job. I'm pretty nervous about doing this myself only because last time I ended up with gasoline all over me, a mess in the garage (which smelled like gas for weeks), and a really bad headache (I tired using a respirator, but it didn't seem to do much good).

I've tried searching for this topic but all I can really come up with are parts recommendations and nothing on how to actually do the work - safely being the key word here.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
