i have a 89 crx dx and when i go into first the car bounces from front to back, i think its a slipping clutch but i dunno. also when i put the car in second with the clutch pedal still pressed down i hear a whine in second. the car has 185xxx miles on it and i dunno if i need a new trans or clutch, and im real tight on money now so im hoping its just the clutch. hope you guys have some info for me. thanks

 

I'm green in this area, but it sounds like you're describing clutch chatter, you can do a search on the internet for a description. You're having the same problem I am, but I have another car and haven't taken the trans out yet. Let me know if you find something out and I'll try to post to the group about my outcome.
