Default i need help plz i have a 98 prelude!!

heyy guys ok so honda told me that my distributor is burnt the cap and all the way inside the wires are fried but they dont kno if thats why the car wont fire up do u think thats the problem? ebcuse i aalredy o them 2000$ and i cant spend any more lol...? i mean the car will turn over n **** a

That is the logical reason. Its an easy fix. Seems like Honda is looking to charge you for other problems that arent there.

i duno but i hope this is the problem ebcuse i dont have no spark now and if the distributor is burnt then this park thats 450$ should do it

no this is all the way into the motor lol the whole thing i changed the cap btu they took my motor apart n found out i fried it...

I used to go to shop if i have problem with cars, but now, hell no. They just charge too much..

It would really help if you could use some proper grammar and english. Its hard to decipher what you are trying to get across to us and it probably make it easier to get to the root of your problem.

Anyways.

So the initial problem was with your distributor cap?
And now they have taken your motor apart why?

Does this mean that before they ripped your motor apart the motor did turn over?

no its not the cap its the whole distributor the whole thing is fried

but they do not have to disassemble the motor to get at the distributor, so there must have been another issue as well.

well honda have found the problem like i thought it was my ecu the distibutor has fried my ecu.. here is a pic of my lude

I think I found the problem....

Its pretty obvious actually.

Its that riced out body kit thats causing your problems, hahaha :D

All jokes aside. Look through the classifieds, i'm sure you can find a used distributor for much cheaper than the Honda price. Replacing it does not require dissasembling the whole motor, just removal of the valve cover and retainer.

lol well i alredy paid honda 450$ for distributor and nigniton switch was 350$ now they ordered a ecu becuse my aem got fried after 1yr lol... so im stick with stock ecu thats like 1grand ahha

wow i didn't know a stock ecu from honda cost's 1 grand someone needs to teach him how to look threw the classifieds, i bet i could find one for around $100-150 no more than that!!!

lol well i found one for 100$ off ebay but since my car is at honda they gone n orderd me a new one.. and since my distributor was fried,,, the wires caused my ecu to fry... n i had a aem ecu on it now its went out n i kno it wasnt coverd thanks 2 ebay lol...
