why doesn't my car pull in vtec
ok i got a 94 integra rs with a gsr motor with header intake exhuast and intake manifold i think it has a b16 throttle body and fuel rail. i have a p28 with a s300. at first i had just a p28 none chipped and i could hear vtec open but i didn't feel anydiffrece in the way it pulled. someone told me it could be the ecu so i bought s300 and put the gsr calabration on it and it pulls the same i have a b16 tranny on it so i don't know why it is like this

exactly, its amazing how many ppl don't check the vtec fluid
you should feel pull at a little over 4k (i know ido in my LS), vtec opens at 4400 so it won't pull that much harder

well if you have s300 take it to a tuner/dyno and get it tuned, you will probably not notice vtec more but it will show if its working and you will get some more hp

agreed, your not going to feel much on stock motor.

GS-r cams + single stage intake manifold =crap!
It can be done, and it can be tuned well, but in all reality the GS-R cams are designed to work the best in conjunction with the 2 stage intake manifold. If you were to swap the cams out in favor of any other b-vtec cam you would "feel vtec" more. With out knowing what else (if anything) is done to the motor, it is tough for me to offer any cm suggestions... although ITR/CTR cams are a popular choice for mild N/A builds.

im going to have to disagree with this statement
for one if the vtec isnt working you would feel a noticable difference when it does work...
and stock gsr cams carry power nicely to 7500-7800 rpms

Its called oil
its all about power to weight , you wont feel it so much in an integra because it weighs more and the increase in torque is minimal . But in a light weight chassis you might slightly notice an increase in pull
all in all .... vtec is garbage
