ABS help
hey guys my buddy has a 97 accord ex 2dr and when he turns the car on the abs module under the hood makes noise and the abs light in the dash is always on. someone wanna tell me whats wrong with this
FAQ post at the top of the Integra forum.
Link that says something about CEL & ECU error codes.
Scroll down to '94-'97 ABS error codes.
Read his ABS error code.
I could guess what's the most likely problem, but it's better to actually get the code instead of guessing.

AutoZone's code readers may not read ABS codes. I think they're only for engine errors. Honda dealer scanners can read ABS codes but that's not free...
The top of that thread explains it for an Integra, but for your friend's Accord the service connector (wire) is located differently. I'm not sure but I think it's near the ashtray or behind the glovebox.
Search around for the procedure for reading engine ECU error codes. The ABS lamp will flash it's code instead of (or along with) the check-engine light.
