HELP~~!!!! Car won't start??
TOPIC says all......
I did auto to manual conversion a while ago on my 00' GS
was using auto ECU to run for a while and decided to go OBD1 conversion.
thought that was a easy plug and play but i was wrong.....
1. low idle 2. curise contorl 3. tach doesn't work.
I so far fixed the tach part... car ran 3 weeks no problem.. till then... car died?
car doesn't start with OBD1 5 speed ECU anymore.. no sparks come out~~
but car does start with OBD2V2 AUTO ECU FOR SOME REASON..
oh heres a bonus.. right before everything happenes... my SAFC fried too.. display screwed up.... and making car runing super rich... can smell fuel coming out from my exhaust the whole block.
What should i do now??

if it was any of that it wouldn't start w/ the obd 2 ecu. are u sure when u fried the s-afc it didnt fry the ecu? try to find someone w/obd1 teg and plug ur ecu in and see if it works.
If your not getting spark, I would check the alternator (ignitor, and Ignition control module) if it is one of them they are 50 for the ignitor and 110 for the ICM from honda or acura. I have a spare Ignitor thats brand new. If u need it IM me
Mugen_85--- Yes, we double check on the starter,distrubutar cap and spark plug wires, nothing is with them...... As i stated above.. Car does start with 00' GS OBD2V2 Auto ECU but 95' OBD1 LS 5 speed ECU. Thank you

I have asked a 94' RS auto to come and test my 95's OBD1 5 speed in his car.. it starts... so i tried his auto in mine.. nah no luck... then i asked "bbb18ci" to come double check if my ECU works in his 00' GSR then the Harness.. he did OBD1 conversion on his 00' GSR as well.. harness is fine and ecu also works in his car. Sigh~~
so far I unpluged everything that's to do with ECU harness, SAFC and a 1/4 mile timer but nothing changes. Safc is fried for sure... display is gone and what it does is making my car running super rich and non-stop black smokes coming out from my exhaust.. you can smell the fuel coming out from my exhaust for a whole block. SuperTech-----MY mechanic did 2 weeks ago.. and nothing is wrong with it.....
we figured there must somethign to do with the Fried SAFC..... but then if SAFC did burned some ECU harness.... then why da heck car starts with Auto no problem but OBD1 5 speed. Thank you

i think it might be ur connection between the sfafc and the ecu. take the sfac out and see if it will start, or double check your connection between the two.

car still won't start.....
i took my car back today coz i really need my car to go to work and stuff...
I realized that it has somethign to do with the ignition... coz my ignition lock doesn't function anymore... it's werid it's it?
I am going to ask my mechanic tomorrow

don't think anyone here ever experience this problem....
now my car is running with Auto ECU in it... no cluster gage... figured that tach wire is burned.. so i have to shift with RPM sounds.... that's pretty fun... coz theres no redline in this case..

kind of sounds like your ECU is fried. Since it worked before and then just stopped sound likes the ECU. Especially since the old ECU works and the car starts with it. Test that ECU and let us know.

also tested out the Skunk2 harness.... nothing is wrong with it..
it must be something to do with the stupid Engine Harness..
but if the Engine wires are fried.. then why da heck would it be possible to start the car with 00' Auto ECu???
now car runs but no RPM on cluster..... not function for some reason...
This is definetly an odd problem. So what your saying is you tried the ECU that does not work in your car in another car and it worked fine. Then you plugged the 00 ecu in your car and it starts?

then i decided to go with OBD1 conversion..... so i bought skunk2 harness and 95 5 speed LS ECU... thought that was only plug and play but turns out ... i have to bypass the clutch switch and some wires to make my cruise control work again... then about the cluster .. i still use the stock one... didn't replace it... but with OBD1 the RPM gage won't work.. so simply you just add another jumper wire on your harness to make it work or add an extra wire from coil to the ECU. (2 ways)
Anyways, after installed OBD1 and fixed the tach wire... car runs smooth for about 3 weeks... then for some reason... the SAFC fried and it might fried some other wires too.... car was running super rich on the street... so decided to take it off right ASAP.. then we did... after that car won't start with OBD1 anymore....
but plug OBD2v2 auto it works???
but got worse... coz either computers doesn't make my RPM gage works.... the RPM gage is like dead or something.. doesn't move at all....
dont' know waht to do now....
and yes the RPM thing was working with AUTO no problem.. and after add the tach wire to the ECU OBD1 works too..... but now.. neither works....
might want to check the wires that connect the rpm guages and the fuses. might have fried some wires. did you ever smell burning smells coming from your dash? You will know what I mean if you did. Those are always bad smells.

and yeah the ECU wires are the only thing that we are focus on..
..... i actually took my car back home last night.... and i found out more abut it....
something must be wrong with the ignition too.. coz my Alarm ignition lock doesn't function anymore.... and ..figured taht must to be something to do with the ignition failed... or something...
we are still working on it....i will update you more info
