how can i tell if i need a valve job with the head tooken off? i have heard to just fill the spark plug holes with paint thinner and if the liquid stays after a day then no valve job. any help would be appreciated

 

that is the right way to do it but if you have it off you should do it anyways. You will feel the difference in power.
