Default Pads and rotors.

So I need new rotors and I figure I'll get a set of pads and replace them while Im there, but my biggest concern is which pads do I get? Im going to get slotted Brembo's, and I was going to get a set of Hawk pads until a few people gave their highest regards to EBC and Axxis Ult pads. My question now is, what are you guys running out there, and how do you like them? ( I work at a local auto parts place and can use my instore discount to get some loser Raybestos pads if there isnt that much of a difference)

Anything other then the lifetime special will probably be good,
You can still stop hard with them, but they fade fairly quick.

What kind of auto parts store is it? I work at an O'Reilly and we sell ceramic pads that have lifetime warranty. That's the ones I got, no porblems or complaints out of them.

I work at a Kragen, and we offer lifetime warranty as well, but I dont care about a warranty if they're crappy pads, and the warranty excludes wear. Ive seen the Raybestos pads that we sell, and they have huge chunks of what looks like copper in them, and I really dont want that eating into my rotors.

I have heard that EBC pads fade sooner then Hawk hp+ pads do. I was talking to a guy who sell brake pads at the race track who also races a corvette. I trust his opinion since he has used both. I have heard good things about the Axis Ultimates as well. I am going to get a set of the Hawks next brake change myself.

Get blank rotors. It'll cost less and you'll get better performance and be able to turn them if needed. You'll also get better pad wear. Something like a raybestos is fine on the street. If you feel you absolutely must get expensive pads, get some performance friction. They'll come with a 2 year wear-out warantee from most places, so bring the remains in just before the 2 year point for your second set.
