Looking for quite a bit of advice...
First things first, I ended up here after spending some time researching after market security, as the police just recovered by 97 Civic. (less wheels, stereo unfortunately) After everything i've read and heard I'm going to end up putting in a well placed python 460 and a separate kill switch. I know there are loads of guides on here and elsewhere which i'll definitely use, but I still have questions.
What is the best place for the alarm brain, siren and LED? How to best wire manage so it's as inconspicuous as possible. Suggestions for the kill switch from anyone who has put one in.
I'm not completely savvy but i can get around fairly quickly but any help is very well appreciated.

All of your questions can be answered in the "How To" sticky at the top of this forum.

Right, and I totally understand the frustration in feeling like you have to explain things over and over, but I'm really asking beyond the guide. It's a lot easier to comprehend in conversation for someone unfamiliar as I am.
Alright... I'm not trying to be a dick here (really, I'm not), but if you need help beyond the very thorough explanation in Suspended Hatch's how-to, then you shouldn't attempt the install yourself.
Each question you asked is answered word for word in that how to...

I'm probably just being unclear. I don't need to know how to do any of this, I'm more just looking for some input for what to avoid. With a small scope of reference it only makes sense to try and feel out what has and hasn't worked for people. I'm not inept, merely interested in making sure I do this as clean and efficient as I can. Mistake?
If its a two door, then the best place is under the plastic covering the rear driver's side quarter panel. If it's a four door, you could put it in the center console or under the plastic in the trunk.
So basically what you're saying is that you're just nervous and you need some encouragement?
What you need to do is take off the plastic and look at the mounting location. Open the split loom and locate the wires you will be tapping into. Locate the constant, ignition, and starter wires at the ignition harness and where they plug into the fuse box. Locate the fuse box outputs. Locate the door lock/unlock wires. Practice soldering and crimping with scrap wires on the workbench if you aren't comfortable with making wire connections. Now that you've experienced this part of the install, you'll get over that initial apprehension you have before you try something for the first time.
When you install the alarm, just get the very basic connections out of the way, and then try it out. You'll need the self confidence for the more difficult parts of the install (the door locks).
Also, check this out. It's a work in progress: http://causeforalarm.thecarthing.com/version6/

Your post was exactly what I was hoping for, and yes more or less I just didn't want to spend a lot of time on something only to have made an obviously stupid mistake. That said, thank you.
I looked through that link and noticed one thing that I was curious about. You have the fuel kill switch hooked up to the alarms armed ground, if I understand that right then with the power cut from the alarm (assuming I didn't have a battery backup, which I do) the switch would be enabled again?
