Default leaking oil.

Alright guys heres the situation with my car. right now it's leaking oil like a bitch. when the headers get hot and oil starts to drip on it it smokes like a ****, every person i pull up next to rolls down there window tells me... Sir..your car is smoking lol. The leak can be comming from either 1 of two places or even both.

1. Typical cam seal leak.

2. Oil pan gasket leak.

Im leaning more towards the cam seals because i can see some oil trailing form the cams. but then agin theres oil all over my oil pan. Not to mention im not losing much oil either about a quart every 2500 miles.

Anyone else have this issue?

Obviously, you need to determine where the leak is coming from and then correct the problem. Oil on the pan doesn't necessarily mean anything because the oil will run down there from somwhere above.

Correct. When I had this problem ('87 Accord) it was a bad valve cover gasket.

So do both in one day noob

New cam seal, and oilpan gasket from the dealer will be around $30 give, or take.

All you need to do for the cam seal is remove the valvecover,
and the One camcap where the seal is.

Oilpan is also an easy one to get off, remove the inspection cover on the bottom of the trans,
then the rest of the 10mm bolts/nuts holding the pan on,
I'm almost thinking you can take the pan off without removing your header too.

Hahah, well .. I guess you're out of luck then.

Get some pics of the spots you think it is, I could give you a better idea of what exactly is there that could be replaced.

Probably. But it's 10x easier if you take off the header; espically if you have a two peice header; just remove the second half.
