hmm im havin same issue with mine and my car is at honda but then the dealer ship dont even kno whats wrong ahaha it could b ur coils... sparkplug wires... or ur nigniton switch thats wat honda told me so i got em all stil my **** wont crank.. good luck if u find out whats wrong plz let me kno also
My prelude did almost the exact same thing. It ended up being the ignition control module. Cost me a pretty penny. I might have gotten ripped off on the price by my car works fine now so I'm happy. By the way I have a 94 prelude si 2.3 non-vtec if that helps.

yeah knew it was likely the timing belt. if you did crank it alot since it wasn't starting. then more likely some valve may be bent. try putting on a new belt. if it doesnt feel like before then u got some bented valve.
i had the same problem, my tensioner went and it jump the timing. if i was you ill check the compression. if its all good then replace the belt and check the pulleys for any sharp ends and it might be a good time to change the tensioner so what happen to me wont happen to you. hope this helps.
