Default Ebay FMIC piping?

I've noticed a few of these 'deals' floating around ebay. I do need some FMIC piping, but should I bother with these ebay products for stuff like this? Or should I just get the piping from someone local?

What exactly do I need as far as angles, etc to run through my 4th gen?

I used one and this is how I ran it. Also, these couplers like to blow off if you push to much through the piping. I run about 5-6 psi and when I get on it some times a pipe will pop out of a coupler.

Yeah, i'll be running a lot more than 7-8 PSI (double/triple that amount). But I also plan on Spot welding most of the piping (as much as physically accessible anyway), so I'm doubting the blow-offs. However, is the piping really cheap quality, or am I better off spending the extra cash?

Also, what kind of bends am I looking at, and how many? Sorry for all the questions, but I'd like to know right off the bat as I don't have much time to get all this stuff done.

Thanks!

what i would do is just get an ebay fmic kit. then put together large sections and have it welded and just use couplers to connect the large sections together that way it won't be a bitch to put into the car. also where ever you use the couplers, bead the pipes like turbocivic94 said and also use t-bolt clamps and not those flimsy clamps the kit comes with so the couplers will be less likely to pop off.

nice piping btw genocide.

I have a intercooler and piping setup on ebay right now, about to end in 13hrs for really cheap! It was part kit and part Anthony (precisionh23a) who made it, the fitement is great!

I think it is pretty good quality. Quote from Donald:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Donald125 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
Couplers are not reinforce, but they are def.ly tougher then the ones you can get from homedepo :l
piping has a 2mm wall, mandrel bent.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
I got my kit from Donald125 on homemadeturbo.com. Only $95 shipped and it comes with this:

2 X straight
2 X 90* bends
2 X 45* bends
2 x 75* bends
Included 6 straight couplers
2 90 degree elbows
16 clamps

Only places I have had the pipe blow out is where the pipe meets the turbo and where it meets the 90* elbow in this pic:

Basically that is my main problem pipe. The rest seem ok.

get some T-bolt clamps instead of those wussy hose clamps

i bet they would blow off less than half the time

It's only really happened like 3 times. Only when I hit the gas hard. I'll have to save up some money and get some. I'll let you know how it goes once I get some.
