just trying to see if its worth the money or if anybody has used it yet. seems pretty good . http://gps-snitch.com/
Never used this brand but I have seen gps tracking companies come and go. I would want to see them in business for a few years before I invested $400 in their equipment.
I say their equipment because you cant take your equipment to another provider.

I like the sound of this GPS-snitch setup. If I am reading their page right, it seems to have some advantages over Lojack for about half the cost of thier premium service.
1-Hardwired w/ battery backup, BUT, you can install yourself and can transfer to another vehicle if desired.
2-Triple frequency locating, supposedly it can find cars inside buildings or behind obstructions. Problem for Lojack from what I've heard.
3-Small and easy to hide in some area of the car that isn't going to get immediatly stripped.
4-Some aftermarket car alarm compatability? I wasn't too clear there, but it did seem to suggest those options.
5-And of course you can locate the car first yourself via the web and then call the cops, not the other way around. I noticed they do work on a pay as you go locating policy, but that seems better than a monthly or yearly charge to me. Unless you're using this thing to keep an eye on your company cars or your daughter or something, who's going to need to spend $15 a month on a 100 web-locates?
Really interested to hear if anyone else has checked out this setup. I'm almost ready to buy one, but I agree that they have yet to be proven via word of mouth.
I'm not too hot and bothered to mess with a big DEI w/ GPS setup... I also just can't bring myself to drop a G for a Lojack that the dealer won't let me install, and may get chucked in a river before the cops ever even bother to start looking for my ****.
I also looked at Mobile Guardian but only one Honda Dealer in my area installs them and I could not get very good pricing information.

Fly-nite. got your money today and gone next year. Plus How can all these companies just come out and say there the best when nobody ever heard of them.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by NHBsi »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I like the sound of this GPS-snitch setup. What so big about the dei unit? I haven't had any problems with them. And out of the many that I installed 4 worked flawless to prevent theft. Not to mention my own unit for my personal and family cars that have been targeted

I'll look more closely at DEI. I was on the DEI website the other day for a little bit. So, do I basically have to buy a Viper/Clifford or some other DEI alarm, and then add their GPS tracking to the setup as an optional module? Since it sounds like you know these in and out, what would you suggest as the best GPS setup from this company?
I am not really looking for a high end alarm with all the bells and whistles (glass break, tilt, proximity etc). I was originally going to settle with something relatively simple for my Civic, possibly set up to go off only when doors are actually opened. Considering my budget and neighborhood, I was going to bank on a third party system like the Snitch or Lojack to save my *** if theives got through my other layers.
Appreciate any advice you can offer.
You mentioned you were targeted--how did all that go down, did your cars stay safely in the driveway?
