Like topic saids...my ls engine always idles like at 600-700 rpms. Even when cold or warm. Car always had this idle since I bought it.

IACV issues? purge solenoid perhaps? ECT. hard to say without having the car in front of you , you know.

 

How would I kno if it's that?

I removed my broken Fast idle thermo valve.

Bottom of the throttle body.

 

if you scroll down the link I gave the OP you'll see a pic of it right under the throttle body

on 96+ motors i'm pretty sure don't have a FITV but have an IACV with a built in function of the FITV. So therefore you'll need to clean the IACV if you don't have a FITV.

Cold idle I'm a little above a grand. When warm it sits at 800 but after driving and coming to a stop it always dips down to like 400-500...can't even hear it running but it never stalls. I don't have a fitv either, just kinda live with it *shrugs*

my car just to do the same and it was an air leak on the intake mani and my throttle body so check for that.

Correct i took mines of a 2000 gsr, it was idleing really stupid. I rather have it idle low to save gas.
