Car takes several cranks before it starts, Anyone else have this problem?
Seems to be getting worse as of lately. When it's at its worst, I'll crank the engine for about 3 seconds, stop, crank again for 3 seconds, stop, and crank again then it'll finally fire up. It's taking a beating on my starter.
I just replaced the main fuel relay and nothing changed. Also did a compression test, still consistent across all cylinders. Any ideas? TIA

Fuel pump, maybe. Fuel pumps don't always go out instantly. Sometimes they crap out slowly, getting weaker over time. You can test your pump with a fuel gauge hooked up at the filter.

I installed a walbro 255lph fuel pump ever since I put the turbo setup on the car. It's been roughly 13,000 miles since the install, so I wouldn't think it'd be going out already.
I have a fuel pressure gauge mounted on the outlet of the fuel filter. When the key is flipped to show the dash indicator lights, the fuel pump primes and I see 40 psi of fuel pressure on the gauge. After the fuel pump is done priming the gauge drops to 0 psi. Does that sound right? I'm used to having the gauge on the fuel rail where it reads pressure even after the fuel pump primes.

Battery is good, fairly new

Brand new plug wires, ignitor, dizzy cap and rotor were installed 13,000 miles ago. All were Honda oem parts, no autozone crap. I've replaced the spark plugs roughly 5,000 miles ago, NGKs-one step colder.
Car still runs flawlessly, just been having issues with start ups occasionally

The first thing I would check would be the battery. I know you may not have had it long but it still could be the battery(I had the same problem with my battery)... The next thing I would check would be the fuel filter. The reason why I say this is because its the cheapest thing you can buy that MIGHT fix the problem. All else if it still doesnt work you have a new fuel filter.
.
It could also be bad gas. My truck right now is having the same problem. Come to find out that over time its like the injectors are getting clogged. What you could do is step up on your grade of gas you buy. Also next time it happens try giving it alittle gas...if it is something in your injectors then giving it alittle gas might help it get the fuel needed...just a thought.

I'll check the voltage on the battery to see if its where it should be, can't hurt.
I can't recall replacing the fuel filter, at least I don't have it in my records, so that's a possibility.
As far as gas goes, it's ran on nothing but 93 octance, usually from Shell.
I'll keep everyone posted, thanks for some ideas I overlooked.

Yea my battery went bad on me after only having it for 2 months. Sometimes you can get a bad battery.
If your runing nothing but 93 then that shouldnt be your problem. The only thing simple that I can think of then is your fuel filter. If its not that then sounds like you might have some more major problems.

i would check the spark unplug your ignition wires and put it up in the air next to the valve cover nuts from a 1/2 inch distance.. and have somebody crank the engine to see if there sparks coming out from the ignition wire if not replace...
