lol. full race is nice, but the GReddy kit and the full race are in different categories. The GReddy will come complete, with pre-tuned engine management and eventually will even be carb legal. The full race is nice, but it's not complete, you need to spend $$$$ for engine management and tuning...and it will NEVER be carb legal as it stands....

Both are nice, its just comparing apples to oranges though.

The problem with the Greddy kit lies in the following:

While it is a nice bolt-on kit for beginners, the "tuned" aspect is really crap. Every motor is different, and a basemap burned to all the E-Manages doesn't constitute proper tuning at all. Additionally, the Greddy kits for most Honda's utilize components that you will outgrow, very quickly. And for the price, you're better off with a Full-Race kit, some injectors, and AEM.

Just to add a few comments.
Pros so far:
24mpg freeway and 20mpg mix
Will be STREET LEGAL, huge if you live in CA
Full boost @ 4k rpm, great for daily driving
Comes complete for bolt on and go application

Cons:
HP limit
in that same thought, not the fast kit out there

i agree to a certain extent.

Sure not all motors are the same, but stock for stock (which is what the kit is supposed to be installed on), the motors are pretty damn close from the factory. Sure there are differences that come in to play, but the basemap is making the best of it. If someone thinks that their S2000 with a testpipe will run fine w/ the basemap than they are on crack, it will obviously need to be retuned. But if someone with a completely stock S2000 bolts the kit on, they will have a VERY good idea of how the car will run.

And saying that someone will outgrow the components is very subjective. meaning everyone is different. nuff said about that.

For the price: depends on what the users objectives are. Building a 600hp S2000? yeah the GReddy kit isn't good for the price...LOL. Want a street legal kit? Then it's the MOST worth it, b/c well hey, no one has one yet as far as i know! To get an idea on pricing, the FG2 Si kit retails for $4300, while the full race retails for a grand more, without engine management or tuning! The S2000 kit will have a slightly higher pricetag than the FG2, but it will be close in pricing. So you got ~$4300-4600 (my guess) pricetag for the s2000 kit that will be carb legal over time, or a +$6000 kit (just an estimate) ($5300 base + engine management + tuning). Different price ranges for different kits that will provide very different results.

Everything you said is subjective, the full race kit is not necessarily the best kit for the price. If you state this, you gotta ask best price for who? for what? Is it the best kit for the price for a person in San Diego who gets pulled over alot and has to yank his full race kit off everytime for the REF? Or is the best kit for the price for a person who wants reasonable, but daily driver friendly power? Is it the best kit for the price for the person who autocrosses their S2000 or maybe someone who goes to a road course? I hope you understand what i'm getting at. Every person/car/situation is different. That's all I'm saying. You've gotten ahead of yourself by saying that "you're" better off, suggesting ANYONE is better off w/ the full race kit. Like you said, "every motor is different, " well, every person is different too!

Happy Easter!

No one is really sure yet since not alot of people have tested it out. Its still a new kit. I would venture to say somewhere in the lines of 360 - 420hp, but that is just a guess.

And honestly, on a frequently driven "mostly" street car, do you need more power than that? I mean come on, that kind of power will make the car easily faster than 97% of cars on the road...
