well i just picked up this set of f2 type one's and im a newb at this whole dampening thing well i would like to know if anyone could help me with this, is the softest setting better for daily driving (would it be bouncy) but also good cornering? or is it better to have the harder settings for good cornering , and would it be more bouncy than the soft settings?
You should be able to run them at full soft all the time. Make sure you have about 5-6 full turns on the spring and leave it alone for now. Get most of your lowering ability from the lower mount by using the shock. Then fine tune your ride height using the spring. Usually a lil bit better be a lil lower than your target when using the lower mount.

Harsh ride from coilovers are cost by the shock that wasnt revalved properly to match the spring rates. Are these f2 valved? do they have shock dyno?

The proper method for increasing "dampening" would be simply applying a wet rag. If it's "damping" adjustment on your shocks your asking about, I cannot help you...

The best way to figure out what works for you is to try a bunch of different settings. Damping is more of a personal preference kinda thing than a "one setting is best" thing. You would do best to just drive the car on full soft, and then full stiff, because then you will KNOW exactly what the the changes do.
At first, I would adjust all 4 shocks the same. Once I found a setting I liked, I would try messing with the front/rear balance. Making the front stiffer and/or rear softer will increase understeer/reduce oversteer. Making the rear stiffer and/or the front softer, will increase oversteer/reduce understeer.
Basically, you won't know what you like until you try it....
