bre ?
I down loaded bre for my obd0 crx j spec B 16. not throwing any codes but engine light is on and code light is solid. I also am running an Innovate wide band O2 sensor on narrow band signal wire. I have a switch that changes narrow or wide into the ecu. I am still running my 2nd stock O2.When I drive it the car feels like it is really out of time. At idle it is 9 or 10 to 1 fuel ratio.
1st kill the checksum under the parameters tab and disable the O2 sensors. (take the checkmarks off)
2nd the wideband should be connected to the 2nd O2 (pin C8 on the ecu) not the the 1st O2 sensor.
2nd the wideband should be connected to the 2nd O2 (pin C8 on the ecu) not the the 1st O2 sensor.
I tried that. It did not work. So I tried to put the original jdm ecu, it acted the same way. I think it must be with the wide band??? do I need my old o2 sensors back in and the new one??
thanks for the input. nothing has worked yet, but tomorrow I plan to try taking the wide band out and putting the originals back to se if it works then. any more ideas would be awesome.
The innovate wideband has 2 analog outputs for simulating a O2 sensor. The method I would use is as follows:
(1) disable the O2 sensors and the checksum.
(2) make sure you clear the ecu code.
(3) connect the wideband signal to the 2nd O2 wire (C8). This signal is used for auto tuning and datalogging.
(4) you can re-connect your old O2 sensor or connect the narrow-band signal to the 1st O2 wire (C16). It is not required.
Overall, you only need the wideband signal for tuning. Also, check your connects to ground. They may not be fully connected.

How do I clear codes. The led that is in the ecu is solid, and engine light is on.thanks for the help!

Chances are you have a bad socket or you've mounted the chip incorrectly; a solid CEL usually means that there is a problem with the ECU itself, not the bin.

thanks. I tried the jdm ecu and the car ran the same way but no engine light . but when I was pluging the ostritch ribon cable in it was a tight fit in the zif socket on the lever mechanisam on the zif socket. Is that usual?
I went through and double checked every thing tried different grounds. Still engine light is solid air fuel at 10.
I also cant get the data lager to work ether. it connects and then times out, what dose that mean?
any more ideas? I do appreciate the help.
