Default NEED hELP....hesitation issues with b16....

Ok heres the deal...
I recently bought a 96 coupe with a swapped b16 motor. The car ran fine for a couple of days then I noticed I had a leak in the cat somewhere, not a big deal.
Soon after I began noticing the car would hesitate or cut out almost.
Basically if Im driving on the highway cruising and I have a constant even pressure on the throttle the car will just stop accelerating and even with my foot on the throttle in the same position it cuts out and if you keep your foot on the throttle in the same spot it will eventually cut back in. It is the same as if I would cruise and then get off the gas and then get back on it but my foot will be on the trottle the whole time. I dont know if its something related to the TB themselves, or maybe spark plugs, i really have no idea. Has anyone had similar issues, if so what did you do? I need help cause this is getting super annoying and happening more and more frequently.

is your CAT still leaking?? or did you replace it cause it could end up being a VERY big deal...a lesson i just learned...i was so sure there was something severely wrong with my motor (D16Y8) and i even had mechanics tell me it wasnt an exhaust issue...it ended up being that my CAT was clogged...i wasn't getting any power (horsepower that is) and had absolutely no throttle response...so i mean, if you have CEL on and its for your CAT Efficiency it may very well be a cheap CAT fix...replace it and see if it runs any better

this was the thread i posted about it to try and see if anyone else had the issue and you can see how many claims were being thrown at me...and in the end, it ended up being my CAT was so clogged that it was actually pushing the springs that connect the header to the CAT so that the motor could breathe and it was the only thing keeping my motor running...so look into dude

so all of your symptoms were the same as me?? I have the car bog ont he highway usually between 3 and 4K rpms. and sometimes in 1st gear and 2nd gear it will hesitate as well. Im going to replace the cat, but I also need to replace my exhaust itself becase there is a leak somewhere and I can hear the air escaping at like 4K rpms. You kno anyone tryin to get rid of a stock exhaust to fit a b16 motor in a 96 coupe???
