Default ****Couple of quick questions on air intake****

Hey

1. Does a stock intake box with a K&N filter give the best gas mileage or do the short ram ones do a better job?

2. Where is the cheapest place to find a drop in K&N?

Thanks guys!

A short ram will give you a better mpg increase compared to a drop-in filter. I always go with a cold-air intake though. You get a small bump in power over a short ram and still get better gas mileage (depending on your driving of course).

jus get a short ram. theres not much of a difference between CAI and SRI. maybe like 1 - 2 hp but nothing noticable. and with a short ram you dont have to worry about suckin up water

You guys sure a short ram would give better gas mileage over the stock box?

Personally I lost mpg by using a short ram on my '94 CX. I also lost power in the lower rpms, so having to rev it higher to get it to move may have been the cause. For a stock engine, just get a drop in filter.
