even in a boosted app. a 3" is more then enough.. 3" can support 600whp....
idk why people thing bigger is better when it ISNT!

or you should because obviously you know nothing
I figured it was for a turbo app.....
Whats wrong with a 3.5" aluminum exhaust? or even 4"?
Thats most likely what i'll be running when I boost mine....

FREE power at the same boost level...so why the hell not? Use aluminum and a 3.5" will be lighter than a 3" steel. . .

nothing wrong with a 3.5 or 4" exhaust at all. that's why majority of sfwd guys run those setups. obviously you'd want to go aluminum for them because of the added weight but this is where the whole "street car" vs "track car" gray area come in. if you drive your street car 3 miles a day to a buddy's house, to the local hangouts, etc. an aluminum exhaust maybe fine. but if you daily drive like me... 25 miles TO work, park in a steep *** parking garage, and navigate through the shitty downtown miami roads then no...an aluminum exhaust is probably not for you.

yes they run that size because exhaust is required for the class.. we arent talking about a track car just a stardard street car... and 3" is more then enough!
and yes on your comment about aluminum on a street car

it's not required by the class. they use it because the larger free flowing exhaust is better for a high hp turbo car. 3" is usually enough for most people on the street but if you're making in excess of 500whp then a 3.5"+ might be beneficial.

thanx for clearing that for him..
it is required...
remember a 3" exhaust can support 600whp without a problem... the only car i can say that would use a 4" exhaust on the street is a supra
